Hi Katie. Most of the Beauty Therapy courses would look for the Leaving Cert standard, preferably with Biology as a subject. Waterford College of Further Education has a PLC in Beauty Therapy but it also looks for the Leaving Cert or the Leaving Cert Applied but Biology is not a requirement with them. FAS sometimes run a Beauty Therapist Traineeship by day but you would have to be registered with FAS to apply. Unfortunately they do not have any listed for the Waterford area in the immediate future. They would also look for Leaving Cert standard and a science subject (preferably Biology) would be desirable. The closest I could find was in Cork. See http://jobbank.fas.ie/servlet/Watis?SES ... ERVIEW.HTM for the details. If there is a Beauty Salon in Waterford, see if they train people but it is usually very expensive and they would probably also look for the Leaving with Biology. Sorry I do not have better news. Have you ever considered going back to do the Leaving? Miriam
